Jones Racing Products PS-9008-AL-AR Aluminum Power Steering Pump with an Integrated Fluid Reservoir featuring numerous options for the return line.
Jones Racing Products introduces the PS-9008-AL-AR Aluminum power steering pump with an integrated fluid reservoir featuring numerous options for the return line. Customers may choose from high or low along with a 90 degree, 45 degree or a straight fitting, whichever suits their needs.
Each and every one of Jones Racing Products' pumps undergoes complete testing on their custom built power steering pump dyno which allows them to set the pump's pressure and flow, along with a replication of the demands that the driver desires from his steering. Use of these tests ensures each pump is setup correctly for each racer's needs from a local Saturday night dirt or asphalt short track to cup cars at Talladega. Every pump test is logged and tagged to the pump by serial number and archived at the Jones Racing Products facility. The serial number gives us the ability to offer the convenience of an annual check-up; the racer can send a pump back for a re-test that can be compared to the pump's very first test session.
Jones Racing Products has invested years of research and development into perfecting their own brand of power steering fluid. This fluid boasts many advantages! The crystal clear fully synthetic power steering fluid is capable of exceeding all others in overall performance. The steering system's demands of the fluid with high pump flow rates and extreme temperatures make this fully synthetic a top choice to provide the driver with a confident and consistent feel from start to finish of a race. This fluid will not develop foam, causing cavitation of the pump nor will it break down during long green flag runs at full operating temperatures.
A major advantage of Jones Racing Products' clear power steering fluid is that it helps the team to keep a watchful eye on the stability of the system with just a quick glance at the fluid itself. Racers are able to spot any type of contamination in the fluid, helping to catch any problems with the rack, steering box or hoses. Catching one of these problems will protect the rest of the system and keep the car on the track and ultimately in victory lane. Maintenance and changing of the power steering fluid is easy with the availability of small, handy 16 oz. bottles. This size is great for weekly maintenance ensuring the correct fluid level is being preserved. The larger quart bottles are key to a quick and easy fluid change; two quarts of fluid change out around 1500 to 2000 laps will keep the entire steering system working like new.
Jones Racing Products Serpentine Water Pump Drive System 1035-S-CE
Jones Racing Products, Inc. has released a new lightweight serpentine water pump drive which is designed to optimize cooling and efficiency. They have a variety of ratios available to accommodate all RPM ranges from Crate Engines up to high RPM built engines. The drive will effortlessly turn a fan while saving horsepower.
Their billet aluminum pulleys reduce harmonics and the load on the main bearings by sitting only 1/2" from the face of the balancer. This reduces the upward pull on the bearings amplified by the leverage on a longer creates while keeping a super lightweight rotating mass to greatly decrease the moment of inertia.
Jones Racing Products has maxi mixed the belt engagement surface as well as the contact between the pulley and belt allowing you to run less belt tension, while virtually eliminating belt slip which is caused by the inertia generated from the fan and belt stretch experienced with other conventional drives. In addition, by reducing the belt tension they have also reduced the wear on the bearings, the water pump, the pulleys and the belt itself. Their manufacturing process produces a perfect match between the pulleys and the belt designs, eliminating any additional idlers. This technology promotes a durable lightweight belt drive for today's horsepower conscious crate racer.
Each kit is sold complete with everything you need: mounting hardware, black hard coated serpentine water pump pulley, lightweight one piece crank drive pulley capped off with a billet nut making it easy and safe to turn over the engine for valve adjustment. The kit also comes with the appropriate belt for your engine and ratio, plus a spare belt is included in every Jones Racing Products kit. The drives are pre-configured with the proper spacing and alignment to ensure easy installation. Kits are available for Chevy, Ford and Chrysler along with a complete line of drives for the CT-525. Jones Racing Products, located in Ottsville, PA, is an industry leader in the manufacturing of belt drive systems and related components, producing their entire billet aluminum product line with the most advanced CNC machinery. All products are manufactured in their Pennsylvania facility from start to finish, having total control over the entire process, from the sawing of the raw bar stock then into the CNC lathes or mills all the way thru the final steps of the laser marking to indicate part numbers and serial numbers. Having the ability to manufacture parts in house gives Jones Racing Products the advantage of keeping every part to exacting tolerances.
Performance & Reliability Housed in a Lightweight 4.5" Diameter Body
Jones Racing Product, Inc. offers customers five alternator sizes in 16 different amperage and voltage combinations. They range from the mini one-wire alternator, weighting in at just five pounds, to the high-output 200 amp alternator.
By offering a wide range of sizes and outputs, this allows us to provide the racer with the most compact, lightweight unit that can effectively and inefficiently produce the proper voltage and amperage for their application.
Jones Racing Products offers more than 50 alternator-pulley combinations to accommodate any rpm range in any drive situation. All of the Jones alternator kits are designed around our Radius Tooth HTD systems, which reduces the drag created by belt tension, conventional V-belt and serpentine systems.
Our alternators feature dual internal cooling fans and are available in 12- or 16- volt versions. We make it possible to adjust the voltage output of our alternators. This feature allows the racer to fine-tune the output from 12 volts up to 19+ volts, making it possible to obtain the ideal voltage for each application. The same mini alternators are also available in 120 and 160 amp high output versions.
